Wire thieves hit welding rig

Police responded to reports at 2:19 p.m. April 16 that $500 worth of copper wire was stolen from a welding rig on a pickup on the 300 block of Tyler Street.

Friday
11:38 a.m
. Police responded to reports that someone had broken into a tow yard on the 14000 block of Baldwin Avenue and stolen a $280 CD player from a vehicle.

6:03 p.m. Police cited two teenage girls for stealing energy drinks from Save Mart Supermarkets, 1035 Sperry Ave. The girls opened the drinks in the store and drank them, then left the store without paying for the drinks. An employee witnessed the theft.

Thursday
10:20 p.m
. Police cited a 39-year-old Patterson man on suspicion of possessing 7.6 grams of marijuana after stopping him for speeding at Seventh Street and Del Puerto Avenue.

10:27 p.m. Police cited a 31-year-old Patterson man on suspicion of possessing a meth pipe after a detective stopped him at Third and E streets for not having a light on his bike. The man threw the pipe on the ground when he saw the deputy.

April 16
10:12 p.m
. An employee at Save Mart Supermarkets reported that two teens had stolen several bottles of alcohol off the shelf after asking a worker to get a bottle of booze from the back.
