Man arrested with lots of drugs


ImagePolice booked Jason Ornales, 31, of Patterson, into Stanislaus County Jail in Modesto at 5:58 p.m. Monday on suspicion of possessing 60 grams of marijuana, 16 grams of methamphetamine and 3 ounces of cocaine with the intent to sell.

Police had conducted a probation search of Ornales’ home on the 200 block of M Street, where they found several guns, which Ornales is not allowed to possess. They found Ornales at Patterson High School and then conducted a more thorough search of his home, uncovering the drugs. They also found more guns in his car.

Monday
1:54 p.m.:
Police responded to reports that about $250 worth of coins were stolen from a car parked at Patterson Library, 46 N. Salado Ave. A woman reported that she had left her trunk open while she was going back and forth from the library. She noticed a man had been leaning over her vehicle, and when she returned, a jar full of coins was missing. She confronted the man, who told her she was crazy and walked away.

April 12
12:38 a.m.:
Police booked a 42-year-old Patterson woman into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center in Modesto on suspicion of drunken driving after she almost collided with a deputy at M and Second streets. After the deputy stopped her, the woman forgot to put her car in park, and the car rolled into the deputy’s vehicle, causing minor damage to the woman’s car. The woman had a blood-alcohol content of 0.145, according to a breath test.

9:30 p.m.: Police responded to reports that someone had broken into two vehicles at a tow yard on the 600 block of South First Street. The thief stole two car stereos after breaking windows to the vehicles. An employee noticed that someone had cut a hole in the fence.
