Teens beat up young man
An 18-year-old Patterson man reported being attacked by three guys in their late teens at 1:04 p.m. The 18-year-old told deputies that he was walking on the 1300 block of Kern Creek Lane with his sister when the other three teens attacked him. He said he fell to the ground, and the trio continued to hit and kick him, causing bruising and cuts. He did not want an ambulance. Friday 7:12 p.m.: Police found seven teens they suspected were involved in vandalism while responding to a disturbance call at Thrush Drive and Sparrow Hawk Lane. A witness reported that the group of teens rammed a bike into a vehicle, causing about $400 in damage. The vehicle’s owner did not cooperate with police, and the teens said they were not involved. However, after police called the teens’ parents to pick them up, a deputy heard one of the teens tell his father that the group had to slam the bike into the car because someone had said bad things to them. 8:41 p.m.: A 47-year-old Patterson man reported that someone had stolen his identity and opened two mobile phone accounts under his name. 9:55 p.m.: Police booked Angelica Torrez, 28, of Patterson, into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center in Modesto on suspicion of having marijuana and methamphetamine after she was searched on the 100 block of South Second Street. A deputy approached a car she was riding in outside T & M Market. The three people in the car agreed to be searched, and the deputy discovered some pot, meth, assorted paraphernalia and a scale. The other two passengers were not arrested. Items in this column include a sampling of activity as reported in the Patterson Police Services daily log. Additional information is based on reports from deputies and detectives. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
