The Patterson Unified School District Board of Trustees will hear Monday about extra help offered to local students.

Cathy Schulz-Brown, a teacher who’s on special assignment for assessment and intervention programs, will update the board about intervention classes in local schools. She will discuss programs for struggling students and summarize the students’ progress. She will also tell trustees about the development of a district-wide database to monitor student progress and the effectiveness of the intervention classes.

Students who need individual help or those in targeted groups who need help in a certain subject are eligible for intervention classes.

On the same subject, Tonya Bibbins, Patterson High School vice principal, will present California High School Exit Examination results and information that will help high school students pass the exam.

Steve Menge, assistant superintendent of administrative services, will give a district enrollment update as of March 20.
