Azevedo, Coble, Moran, Ou get BofA plaques
Four Patterson High School students have been named Bank of America plaque winners. Teresa Azevedo will receive the plaque for applied arts/trades, Andie Coble for fine arts, Claudia Moran for liberal arts and Cecilia Ou for science and mathematics.
Bank of America plaques are awarded to students who excel in broad subject areas, chosen by high school teachers and faculty. Bank of America certificate winners, who excel in individual subjects, will be named at the school’s scholarship and awards ceremony in the spring.
 Azevedo Teresa Azevedo, 17, is the daughter of John and Deborah Azevedo. Azevedo has served in the local branch of the National FFA Organization throughout her high school years, as greenhand reporter, reporter, historian and president. Azevedo was on the volleyball team in her freshman and sophomore years, joined the golf team in her junior and senior years, and played for the soccer team in all four years of high school. After she graduates, she plans to attend California State University, Stanislaus, in Turlock and major in liberal studies.
 Coble Andie Coble is the daughter of Jackie and Terry Coble. Coble, 18, has been active in swimming during high school. She has also participated in Patterson Repertory Theatre productions for many years. Coble plans to attend Montana State University, where she will major in media arts/theater.
 Moran Claudia Moran, 18-year-old daughter of Rita and Adalberto Moran, is a member of the Patterson High School Link Crew, Mexican-American Student Association, Ballet Folklórico and Hispanic Youth Leadership Club and performed in the Principal’s Lip Sync in her junior year. She attended the Migrant Student Leadership Institute and took part in a recent Community Emergency Response Team training. Moran plans to attend Modesto Junior College with a focus on administration of justice after she graduates from Patterson High.
 Ou Cecilia Ou, daughter of Henry Ou and Christie Kao, is 17 years old. She has been a member of the California Scholarship Federation and played for the tennis team and the volleyball team in all four years of high school. She was captain of the volleyball team in her junior and senior years. She also joined the PHS Link Crew as a junior and served as secretary of the PHS Student Union as a senior. Ou plans to attend University of California, Davis, or University of Southern California and focus on pre-medical studies.
