Patterson Irrigator

I have a request to revise the Patterson Irrigator website. I have read many comments and concerns made by the users who read the irrigator on a daily basis. What I suggest that the web person who is in charge of maintaining the site is to add more informational tabs on the web. For example, things like:

1. Top Stories
2. Patterson Developement
3. Weather News
4. Community Events (upcoming)
5. Business and Consumer news
6. High School / School District News
7. Lifestyle News (Home / Garden tips)
8. Patterson Tri-City Crime News
9. Classifieds (jobs, for sale, general adv)

These are a few that I think will make the site more user friendlier and informative the the reader who visits the site, like myself on a daily basis. The hyper links on the left side of the page is too "stale" and has no "punch" or excitement feel when visiting the site. I would like to see more of a professional type layout like you see on www.modbee.com, www.ktvu.com, www.kron.com and even the local tracy, ca paper - www.tracypress.com. What do you guys think?
