Where's the proposed commercial development? 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
A couple month ago, there was talk that there would be a walgreens shopping center developed by July and still all I see every time I pass by the Save Mart Shopping area is dirt and a sign showing Walgreens coming soon. Also, what ever happened to the proposed shopping center in the Long's area? In order to attract more home buyers in Patterson, the city needs to push for more ammenities or attractions. I understand there is an economic crisis going on but without the rumor of a new community college, high school, bowling alley, movie theater and shopping centers it will be more difficult to sell those available homes in our community. What is up with all these delays? What do you guys think?

seems like the city is more worried about taco trucks and building 500k skateparks for non taxpaying non mello-roos paying citizens.

Instead of investing in a skate park, why not invest in a Movie theater, Mini golf course or bowling alley in Patterson? Next, we still need some big box stores to help some of the restaurants and fast food places in Patterson generate revenue a keep open. I don't know if you guys noticed Strings Italian restaurant closed its doors after being in business for only 9 months, WTF?! So far, in a recent article we finally landed the MJC satellite college off of Ward Ave., which is a good thing. But, I still think this city, Patterson needs a "JOLT" or "SPARK" and concentrate on more sites that would attract more retail giants like a KHOLS, Target, or Walmart. Having at least 2 of these stores and some recreation centers like a chucke cheese, pump it up, facilities for our children will make our town a better place for both young adults and newer generations to come. Also, these suggestions mentioned above can help with the economic woes that patterson is seeing with Melo roos, foreclosures, etc.
